Golden City Hotel

Built in 1858 and located in the heart of town, the iconic Golden City Hotel (Gee Cees) has become Ballarats most popular meeting place. With modern cafe as well as first class function facilities the hotel caters for all, including casual lunch and dinners, corporate events, conferences, weddings and birthdays. Recently taken over by new partners Tim Kearney and Simon Coghlan the hotel still maintains it high quality of food and service with a new modern look and feel.

We have a seating capacity for up to 200 which extends to over 250 when our alfresco dinning is in use. Our menu offers a variety of meals to cater for all tastes including our gluten free menu, kids menu and extensive local and interstate wine list.

With 2 function rooms now available the hotel is ideal for any size group or business. With in house catering available together with the latest technology on offer the Golden City is the ideal venue for any function.
