Siding Spring Observatory Open Day

For one day of the year, Siding Spring Observatory opens its telescopes to the public. It's your chance to take a closer look at the operations of Australia's largest optical telescope site. There'll be talks by world famous astronomers, talks designed for children, science displays and activities, solar observing, classic cars display, Taronga Western Plains Zoo exhibition, rockets, food and refreshments. Come along and make this a great family day out. The Siding Spring Observatory Open Day runs from 9.30am to 4pm....
