Bayside has long been associated with the arts and has a rich cultural heritage. The Gallery at Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre, located in the Brighton Town Hall, presents a series of high quality temporary exhibitions, public programs and visual arts events, in both conventional and new media. Artists such as Martin Boyd, Clarice Beckett, Jessie Traill, Guy Boyd, Roger Kemp and Lenton Parr have all drawn inspiration from living in Bayside. The gallery gives visitors the opportunity to engage with important work by both local and non-local significant and established practitioners and provides a space for people to engage with art at all levels.
