Highland Trails is the ultimate Tasmanian horse trail riding experience. Choose the ride that suits you - anything is possible. You don't have to be an expert rider, we will provide basic instructions on how to ride and control your horse. The area surrounding Staverton is ideal for horse riding. It takes in spectacular views of Mt Roland. There are bush tracks, quiet roads, horse trails and uncharted bush, traversing mostly private property and Crown Land. Staverton is located about a one-hour drive from Cradle Mountain, a 30-minute drive from Devonport and ten minutes from Sheffield. The rides take in the area bounded by the triple peaks of Mt. Roland, Mt van Dyke and Mt. Claude, the Forth River and Lake Barrington. Rides from one or two hours duration available, longer rides are available by special arrangement.
