About Whyalla Conservation Park

Located 10km north of Whyalla and a short drive south of Port Bonython is Wild Dog Hill, where you can read and take part of the Aboriginal history. Wild Dog Hill, a sandstone outcrop, rises in the north western corner, takes only 10 minutes to easily climb and affords some great views for picture taking. The park is closed from half an hour after sunset until half an hour before sunrise. The walking trail leads to the top giving a clear view of the park and surrounding areas which will only take you around 30 minutes to complete the walk. If you enjoy walking, bird watching, native animal spotting, watching sunsets and sunrises, orienteering and picnics this is the experience for you. ...
