While establishing Gallagher Wines, Greg worked at Charles Sturt University Winery, helping train new winemakers in the best practise of modern winemaking. Greg has a broad and diverse knowledge and experience in winemaking and focuses on using all his abilities to craft wines that appeal harmoniously across the senses. Located just 16 kilometres from Canberra and overlooking the river valley with panoramic views along the Brindabella Ranges, Gallagher Wines has gained a reputation for producing some of the best wines in the Canberra District. Planting the vineyard in 1995 was the first step in developing a quality driven winery, where the creation of 'Honest, Sensual and Satisfying' wine was the primary aim of Libby and Greg Gallagher. The family owned and operated winery focuses on premium 'handcrafted' wines, highlighting the rich and vibrant flavours of the cool climate.
