Frocking for a Cause is an exhibition displaying the frock collection of Erin and Lauren Ritchie which they have worn as part of Frocktober over the last three years. Frocktober is an initiative to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer and the Ovarian Cancer Research Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).
The Ritchie sisters undertook the challenge of wearing a different frock every day for the month of October resulting in wearing 130 frocks over three years. Being from a family of dressmakers the collection is a culmination of family heirlooms, old and new handcrafted frocks and acquired pieces.
Each frock has its own story from the sourcing of fabric, where it was first worn or when it came into these young ladies lives....
