RACQ Technology Challenge Maryborough

Described as the teenage equivalent of Bathurst, thousands of students with a thirst for speed, a bent for technology, and an eye to the future can't be wrong. The RACQ Technology Challenge around Maryborough's inner city streets is a brilliant showcase of the technological skills of Queensland's youth where students design, build and race alternative transport machines of the future. The feature event is the adrenalin-fuelled, action-packed Hour Human Powered Vehicle Queensland Championships where teams pedal aerodynamically designed machines at blistering speeds for 24 hours around an inner-city track. Solar boats and cars, robotics and miniature dragsters powered by carbon dioxide are also part of the RACQ Technology Challenge, which includes five state titles. The 2016 RACQ Maryborough Technology Challenge is set to be bigger and better than ever with more competitors, larger spectator areas and more food and entertainment than ever before!
