NSW Interschools Snowsports Championships

The Interschools Snowsports Championships encourages students of all abilities and levels to compete for their school in a competitive snowsports competition. Students can compete in up to seven snow sports disciplines for skiers and snowboarders. It focuses on fun in skiing and snowboarding at the regional Championships; all set in a framework of friendly competition. As the competition steps up to the State and National levels, the level of competition and the difficulty of the courses also steps up; but always with a sense of fair and enjoyable competition. In 2015, 3029 school students participated from 313 schools. Both Perisher and Thredbo will host the Championships . The Interschools Championships is a starting block for further snow sports competition and has seen 20 Olympians start their career at Interschools competitions.
