Greater Port Macquarie is excited to be hosting the NSW Junior State Touch Competition again this year, the world's largest weekend touch football competition.
More than 300 teams are expected to compete in the event which will bring around 12,000 competitors and spectators to the Hastings.
The first Junior State cup was held in 1996, Penrith Touch Association hosted the first Junior State Cup. Eight divisions contested the 1996 Junior State Cup, Under 12's - 14's - 16's - 18's Boy's and Girl's in 2002 NSWTA added the Under 10's.
The Junior State Cup has grown to be the largest Touch tournament in the world, in 2009 there were over 52 Clubs, 301 teams, 4,153 players, 319 Referees and hundreds of volunteers, the competitions are conducted over two full days with 784 games being played. In 2012 there were 311 teams and still growing....
